The production of TT pistols in North Korea began in the sixties under the Type-68 brand and continues to this day. Despite its small size, this model seems to be more bulky compared to a conventional TT. Some changes have been made to the design. So, the magazine latch is moved to the lower end of the handle, which, however, does not prevent the use of magazines from TT; reinforced shutter stopper; the striker is not held by a pin, but by a plate. As a disadvantage, we can note the fact that the radius at the junction of the handle and the bolt is made based on the anatomical structure of the hand of an average Korean, which makes the pistol inconvenient for a shooter with "normal" palm sizes.
